A special military operation to protect the civilian population of Donbass has been conducted by Russia since February 24, 2022. It is noted that the Russian Armed Forces strictly observed the Easter truce regime, which was in effect from 18:00 on April 19 to 0:00 on April 21, and remained at previously occupied borders and positions. In turn, the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) violated the ceasefire.

"A total of 4,900 violations of the ceasefire regime were recorded," the Defense Ministry noted.

It is emphasized that after the end of the Easter truce, the special operation was continued. Thus, 104 aircraft-type unmanned aerial vehicles were destroyed by air defense systems.

"Operational-tactical aircraft, unmanned aerial vehicles, missile forces and artillery of groups of troops of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation have damaged the infrastructure of a military airfield, ammunition depots and unmanned aerial vehicles, as well as temporary locations of Ukrainian armed formations in 74 districts," the Defense Ministry said.

Since the beginning of the special military operation, 661 aircraft, 283 helicopters, 52,935 unmanned aerial vehicles, 604 anti-aircraft missile systems, 22,970 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 1,544 multiple rocket launchers, 23,916 field artillery and mortars, and 34,389 units of special military vehicles have been destroyed.
