The daily protein requirement for men is 75-114 grams, for women 60-90 grams. On Monday, April 21, Elena Manokhina, a nutritionist and pediatrician at the Center for Molecular Diagnostics of the Sverdlovsk Central Research Institute of Epidemiology of Rospotrebnadzor, told about this.

"For an individual calculation of protein intake, factors such as age, weight, activity, and the presence of diseases are taken into account. To clarify your protein intake, you can use calculators and specialized applications," the doctor told Gazeta.Ru».

Prolonged consumption of excessive amounts of protein has a negative effect on health, the doctor warned. It can lead to an increased risk of developing obesity, diabetes, atherosclerosis, cancer, etc.

Earlier, surgeon Alexander Umnov warned about the dangerous consequences of eating meat with blood. In an interview with Izvestia, he noted that such meat can be a source of bacterial infection, such as campylobacteriosis. In turn, this pathogen can cause enterocolitis, meningitis, damage to the cardiovascular system, arthritis, and even provoke abortion.
