An eruption of the Klyuchevskaya Sopka volcano was recorded in Kamchatka. This was announced on Monday, April 21, by the Kamchatka Branch of the Geophysical Service of the Russian Academy of Sciences.

"A glow has been recorded in the summit crater of the Klyuchevskaya Sopka volcano, this is the beginning of a new eruption," the TASS news agency said.

They added that the duration of the glow was several minutes.

Klyuchevaya Sopka is the most active volcano in Eurasia. Its age is approximately 7 thousand years old, and its height varies from 4688 to 4750 m above sea level.

Earlier, on April 12, it was reported that the Nameless volcano began to erupt in Kamchatka, the ash rose to a height of 4 km above sea level, and its plume spread to a distance of 90 km northeast of the volcano.
