Russia increased buckwheat supplies to China to a record $13 million in March.


In March, Russia increased exports of buckwheat to China to a record level of $13.3 million. This was confirmed on April 20 by data from the Chinese customs, which was reviewed by RIA Novosti.
According to the Chinese customs, in early spring, Russian companies increased the supply of buckwheat groats to China by 2.9 times in monthly terms and 2.8 times in annual terms.
The previous maximum was set in December 2023, when the figure was $10.3 million.
Earlier, on April 15, Maxim Borovoy, Deputy Minister of Agriculture of the Russian Federation, announced that the Russian Ministry of Agriculture expects to start supplying beef to the Indonesian market. He expressed hope that the market would open up and the country would be able to start exporting.
The day before, First Deputy Prime Minister Denis Manturov said that by the end of 2025, it is expected to sign an agreement on a free trade area (FTA) between the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) and Indonesia.
