- The State Duma wants to limit the period of taking the Russian language exam for migrants

In Russia, they may limit the number of attempts by migrant children to take a Russian language test for two years. The relevant bill was developed by Yaroslav Nilov, head of the State Duma Committee on Labor, Social Policy and Veterans' Affairs.
"It is proposed to limit the number of attempts to test for knowledge of the Russian language for two consecutive years, after which a foreign citizen is deprived of the right to study educational programs of primary general, basic general and secondary general education on a free basis," TASS quotes a fragment of an explanatory note to the document.
The text of the bill will soon be submitted to the State Duma for consideration.
"At the same time, it is important to note that such testing is carried out for foreign citizens free of charge, that is, at the expense of budgetary funds, which means at the expense of taxpayers," the parliamentarian drew attention.
On April 7, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation in the Krasnoyarsk Territory reported that police officers had collected 21 materials on the fact of illegal recruitment of foreigners to work. It was established that 15 Uzbek citizens worked at one of the enterprises. They did not fully register for migration registration — they did not pass a medical examination, an exam in the Russian language and did not receive a patent. 15 administrative protocols have been drawn up against the employer under Article 18.15 of the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation ("Illegal employment of a foreign citizen in the Russian Federation"), and the materials have been submitted to the court.
