Regions with the lowest payment to teachers for conducting the USE and OGE are named

Teachers in a number of Russian regions refuse to take part in the preparation and conduct of the state final certification (GIA) - these are examinations for ninth-graders (OGE) and eleventh-graders (USE), teachers' unions and regional authorities have told Izvestia.

The reason is the low payment for such labor. In 17 regions of Russia it is 120-300 rubles for a full day in the classroom, outside its compensation may be less.

"Every year there is a shortage of teaching staff willing to work during exams," - reported, in particular, in the Regional Center for Informatization of Education of the Republic of Tyva.

This region now pays teachers the least in the country - 120 rubles for a day of work in and out of the classroom, according to the annual monitoring of the trade union "Teacher". A little more for work in the classroom is paid in Altai Krai - 125 rubles per day, but for work outside the classroom the amount of compensation will be only 65 rubles.

For comparison, in Moscow for work in the classroom pay 1400 rubles, in St. Petersburg - 1763 rubles, in Khabarovsk Krai - 1868 rubles, in Irkutsk Oblast - 1900 rubles, in Kamchatka Krai - 2155 rubles.

Olga Miryasova, the organizing secretary of the "Teacher" trade union, confirmed that many teachers are ready to refuse to work for "kopecks" but are forced to go to the PPE for fear of administrative pressure.

"We get a lot of questions about how not to participate in the exam. With voluntariness from a legal point of view, everything is arranged very cunningly. The GIA is something like a civil obligation, as in the case of jury trial. Even in the Law on Education, it's not about payment, it's about compensation," she said.

It is difficult for teachers to refuse when the head of the organization asks to participate in the event, said Mikhail Avdeenko, deputy chairman of the All-Russian Education Trade Union.

Rosobrnadzor is not authorized to establish the amount and procedure for payment of compensation to teachers participating in the GIA, as well as to monitor the implementation of normative legal acts that determine the amount and procedure of payment, the agency said.
