Patients with skin diseases pointed out problems with the dispensing of medicines in a number of regions

In a number of regions, patients with skin diseases, such as atopic dermatitis and urticaria, are denied medications. This is stated in the letter of the Public Chamber, which was formed as a result of the round table and sent to the Ministry of Health, the Federal Compulsory Medical Insurance Fund and the government.

The available reserves will last for six months, Roszdravnadzor said.

The reason for not issuing medicines is a vague wording in the list of systemic chronic severe skin diseases. People with skin diseases from the Moscow and Volgograd regions, Crimea and Bashkiria, in particular, complain about the non-prescription of medicines.

"In the list of population groups and categories of diseases, in the outpatient treatment of which medicines are dispensed free of charge according to doctors' prescriptions, such category of diseases as "systemic severe chronic skin diseases is singled out. At the same time, there are no official explanations to determine which diagnoses belong to this category of diseases and what are the criteria for their attribution to them," the appeal explains.

Local authorities at their own discretion refer diagnoses to the category of diseases "systemic severe chronic skin diseases", said Natalia Ilyina, head physician of the state scientific center "Institute of Immunology" FMBA of Russia, speaking at the Public Chamber.

Now in the list approved by the government there are specific indications on psoriasis, parapsoriasis, dermatopolymyositis, systemic sclerosis, but there is also a code "other systemic lesions of connective tissue". This item, according to the participants of the round table in the OP RF, and allows regional authorities not to purchase drugs to provide patients.

The experts proposed to revise the list and include atopic dermatitis, suppurative hidradenitis, idiopathic urticaria, granulomatous changes in the skin and subcutaneous tissue.
