The tram parade and exhibition in Moscow were attended by more than 220,000 residents and guests of the capital, which was a record high. This was announced on Sunday, April 20, by Maxim Liksutov, Deputy Mayor of the capital for Transport and Industry.

"Last year, we organized three such celebrations, they were attended by more than 500 thousand people. The tram parade on Shabolovka once again proved that residents love and appreciate this wonderful form of transport, which can be safely called a symbol of our city," the Moscow City News agency quoted the official as saying.

A convoy of 11 retro wagons traveled along a new route — from Shabolovka to Danilovskaya manufactory and back. The renovated Apakov tram depot was also opened for the guests of the event. 360.ru . Dance and musical groups performed as part of the parade. Visitors were able to participate in contests and win memorable prizes, as well as taste dishes prepared in the field kitchen.

On April 10, after reconstruction, the historic P.L.Apakov tram depot on Shabolovka, the oldest depot in Moscow, which began operating in 1909, was put into operation.
