The EU is not ready to resume the negotiation process with Russia, as the USA has done. This was stated to Izvestia by the representative of the European Commission Anita Hipper.

"No contacts are currently foreseen," she said.

After the start of the special military operation (SWO), the EU completely cut political ties with Russia. The association has imposed a total of 16 sanctions packages, and now the possibility of introducing additional restrictions is being discussed.

The EU has frozen Russian assets worth about €210 billion, most of it - about €183 billion - in Euroclear, an international settlement and clearing organization based in Belgium.
