The Ministry of Economic Development raised the forecast for inflation in the Russian Federation to 7.6%

The Ministry of Economic Development has raised its forecast for inflation in Russia in 2025 from 4.5% to 7.6%. This is on Monday, April 21, according to the draft scenario conditions for the socio-economic development of the country for the period 2025-2026.

"The inflation rate at the end of 2025 is expected to be in the range of 7.6%, and in 2026 it is projected to decrease to 4%," the document says, as quoted by TASS.

It is specified that this trend will continue until 2028.

In addition, a representative of the ministry told the agency that the Ministry of Economic Development expects real wages to rise to 6.8% this year, when in the September version of the forecast this figure was 7%.

Earlier, on April 14, the Ministry of Economic Development informed Izvestia that the gross value added created by small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in 2023 exceeded 37.6 trillion rubles.
