The Ministry of Industry and Trade announced benefits for families with children when applying for a car loan

In the Russian Federation, the opportunity to apply for a preferential loan for the purchase of a car for families with children will be available again. This was stated by the Minister of Industry and Trade Anton Alikhanov during the presentation of the new Lada Iskra model at the Tolyatti plant.

"The categories that we had before — teachers, doctors, members of the SVO and their family members — are saturated in many ways, they have taken advantage of the measures. We will expand to a family car," he said in an interview with the Kommersant newspaper.

The Minister stressed that such an initiative could improve the situation in the automotive market.

To participate in the preferential loan program, the price of a car should not exceed 2 million rubles. The vehicle must also score at least 2,000 points for localization of production in Russia.

According to the results of the first quarter, there has been a decrease in the share of approval of car loans, Magomed Gamzaev, director of the credit department at the Compare financial marketplace, told Izvestia on April 16. The indicator has dropped four times compared to the same period in 2024. The number of applications for car loans has also decreased: the number of applications has halved compared to the same period last year.
