In Russia, they want to compensate 50% of the cost of children's and family holidays. Such a bill will be submitted to the State Duma on April 21 by Deputy Speaker of the State Duma Alexander Babakov and leader of the Fair Russia — For Truth party Sergey Mironov.

"The draft federal law On Amendments to the Tax Code of the Russian Federation is aimed at increasing the level of social support for large families by providing tax benefits to employers who provide their employees with additional social guarantees," says the explanatory note to the bill, which is available to Izvestia.

According to Mironov, the party believes that the state should compensate 50% of the cost of children's and family holidays, and proposes to introduce an additional program to support citizens, given the high prices for vouchers and tours in Russia.

According to him, it is necessary to provide tax incentives to companies that allocate compensation to their employees for family vacations.

"We propose to exempt from taxation the amounts that employers pay to their employees with many children to purchase vouchers to sanatorium-resort and wellness organizations and pay for travel across Russia to and from their vacation destination, including baggage weighing up to 30 kilograms," Mironov explained.

He noted that in recent years, there has been an increase in the number of large families in Russia. In 2023, there were 2.4 million, and in 2025 there were 2.65 million. Almost 8 million children are raised in them, and one in three families is among the poor.

"Today, one in three of Russia's large families still faces financial difficulties. And in these circumstances, the state is obliged to act decisively — not in words, but in deeds. The bill also encourages businesses to exercise social responsibility and creates a more loyal, sustainable work environment. The proposed amendments to the Tax Code are a timely and necessary step towards social justice. This is a contribution to the health, recreation and future of millions of Russian children," Babakov said.

Earlier, on April 18, the Association of Travel Aggregators (ATAG) and booking services reported on the growing demand for travel with children. According to Tutu, such bookings have more than doubled for the May holidays and 2.6 times for the summer. Ostrovok's family bookings for the May holidays accounted for 27% of all bookings, and for the summer — 37%.
