A child was swept away by the current of a mountain river in Adygea

The boy slipped and fell in the course of the Belaya River near the village of Nikel in the Maikop district of Adygea. This was announced on April 20 by the press service of the investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the region.

"The boy's father tried to save him, but he failed," the department's Telegram channel says.

The missing boy, born in 2014, came to Adygea with his parents from the Krasnodar Territory. Search operations are being conducted in the area, eyewitnesses have been interviewed and the scene of the incident has been examined.

On March 26, the search for a drowned six-year-old boy in the Tosna River was completed in the Leningrad Region. The divers were unable to locate the child's body. A few days before, the child went out on the ice with his friend and fell through, the second managed to get out.
