The British lord urged Kiev to be ready for territorial concessions

Ukraine must be ready for territorial concessions if it wants to reach a peace agreement with Russia. This was announced on April 20 by Conservative member of the House of Lords of the British Parliament, Lord Richard Balfe.
"I believe that the decision to declare an Easter truce should be taken as a positive sign, since Orthodox and Catholic Easter fell on the same day," he told RIA Novosti.
Balfe stressed that Ukraine needs to strive for a complete ceasefire. He also added that the situation may worsen if Kiev does not give an appropriate response.
On April 19, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced the Easter truce as part of a special operation to protect Donbas during a meeting with Russian General Staff Chief Valery Gerasimov. He clarified that the truce will be in effect from 18:00 Moscow time on April 19 to 00:00 on April 21, which is 30 hours.
The Russian president also stressed that military personnel should be prepared for possible violations of the truce and provocations by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU).
