Vessel traffic at the Kochetovsky hydroelectric complex of the Don River has been restored

The ship's passage was opened after the accident of the Alfa motor ship at the Kochetovsky hydroelectric complex on the Don River near the city of Semikarakorsk in the Rostov region. This was announced on April 20 in the Main Directorate (GU) of the Ministry of Emergency Situations in the region.

"At 14:50 [Moscow time], ship traffic was restored, the ship's passage was opened," the agency's website says.

The Ministry of Emergency Situations added that there was no oil spill as a result of the accident.

An accident with a motor ship in the city of Semikarakorsk occurred earlier that day. Later, the Volga-Don Transport Prosecutor's Office began checking the implementation of legislation after the collision of the Alfa motor ship with the lower gate. After the collision, the bow of the vessel was seriously damaged.
