Believers held a religious procession in Vladivostok and Khabarovsk on Easter

Believers held a religious procession in Vladivostok and Khabarovsk in honor of Easter on April 20.
Metropolitan Pavel of Vladivostok and Primorsky congratulated the Orthodox on this great event, stressing that on this day the Christian community celebrates the victory of life over death and the triumph of Christ over sin.
"We prayed in our churches last night, glorifying the Resurrection of Christ. We have now completed a religious procession, thereby consecrating the central streets of our city [Vladivostok]," said Metropolitan Pavel.
It is specified that the priests walked through the streets with the icon of Christ the Almighty, the Miraculous Icon of the Mother of God and other holy images. The procession was attended by thousands of believers, including Oleg Kozhemyako, Governor of Primorsky Krai.
The head of the Khabarovsk Territory Dmitry Demeshin addressed the citizens with an Easter message, noting the deep inner meaning of the holiday, which is especially evident in difficult times. He recalled that 80 years ago, on Easter Week in 1945, the ancestors were able to defeat a terrible enemy. According to Demeshin, years later, the descendants of the heroes of the Great Patriotic War again face similar trials.
On this day, a solemn service conducted by Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia took place in the Cathedral of Christ the Savior. The service began with a religious procession, paying tribute to the procession of myrrh-bearing women who marched before dawn to the tomb of Jesus Christ.
