Science fiction writer Mikhail Gurevich has died.


Mikhail Gurevich, a Soviet science fiction writer, passed away at the age of 87. This was reported by the Text publishing house.
"He was one of the founding fathers of the Text publishing house, before that he worked for the popular Soviet magazine Chemistry and Life," the message posted on the publishing house's Telegram channel says.
Gurevich was born in 1938 in Moscow, and later graduated from the Mendeleev Moscow Institute of Chemical Technology.
In 1971, he won the Golden Calf Award from Literaturnaya Gazeta. He used the literary pseudonym Mikhail Krivich.
Gurevich is the author of fantasy stories and novellas written in collaboration with Olgert Olgin. Among them are "One Kilometer Running", "Moonlit Night in the 21st Century", "Three—quarter Portrait of a Woman" and others. He also created the detective novel "Bust in the homeland of the hero."
