On April 21, Hydrogen Film Companies and Art Pictures Studio, the National Media Group, the distributor NMG Kinoprokat and Art Pictures Distribution, with the support of the Cinema Foundation, presented the first trailer for the fairy tale "Pinocchio".
The project is based on Alexey Tolstoy's classic book The Golden Key, or The Adventures of Pinocchio, and its launch was accompanied by a large-scale promotional campaign on the media facades of Russia's largest cities. On the central streets of Yekaterinburg, Kazan, Krasnodar, Novosibirsk, Rostov-on-Don, Samara, St. Petersburg and Moscow, viewers could see video posters with the main characters of the film.
"The scale of our project obliges us to look for new original forms of communication with the audience. We really wanted to please the audience with unexpected images of our characters, as well as the legendary music of Alexei Rybnikov, and make an event out of it. We are glad that VK Video has supported this initiative," said Mikhail Vrubel, producer and founder of the Hydrogen company.
Vera Lapina, Marketing Director of VK Video, added that the company is pleased to cooperate with such studios as NMG Film Distribution and Hydrogen. According to her, the premiere of the trailer and the characters of "Pinocchio" is a vivid example of the synergy of digital and offline solutions. Thus, Lapina added, they create new standards for the promotion of cinema.
