Three people were killed and almost 500 evacuated due to heavy rain in India

In the Ramban district of the state of Jammu and Kashmir in northern India, a heavy downpour with wind and hail passed, which killed three people and forced almost 500 to leave their homes and move to safer areas. This was reported by The Indian Express newspaper on April 20.
Deputy Commissioner of the Ramban Bazir Ul Haq told the newspaper that the downpour began at night and did not stop during the day. Due to bad weather, a number of residential buildings and commercial buildings collapsed. After the landslides, several roads were blocked in the area.
Police teams have been mobilized to rescue citizens and evacuate the population from the Ramban areas located lower in the relief.
Earlier in the day, the G1 portal reported that severe flooding had occurred in the state of Sao Paulo in Brazil due to heavy rains, which washed away cars and blocked train traffic. In the city of Diadema, the precipitation rate for 24 days fell in just two hours.
