- The Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported on the leading positions of the Russian Federation in digitalization against the background of sanctions

Russia holds a leading global position in digitalization, despite numerous hardware hacks and sanctions pressure from unfriendly countries. This was announced on April 20 by Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Vershinin in an interview with RIA Novosti.
"Despite large—scale attempts to hack equipment, restrictions on technology transfer, and sanctions, Russia has not only ensured the integrity and security of critical information infrastructure, but also confidently maintains its leading global position in digitalization," he said.
According to Vershinin, the Russian side is ready to share its experience in protecting sovereignty in the information space with partners. The Deputy Foreign Minister added that programs to replace foreign information and communication technologies are showing results.
Earlier, on April 1, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin said that the Russian side retains its leading position in the global energy markets, despite the effect of Western sanctions. He specified that the country is actively expanding logistics routes in the directions of friendly states. At the same time, Russia's own needs are reliably met.
Russian President Vladimir Putin said on March 18 that Russian entrepreneurs had successfully adapted to the Western sanctions mechanisms by creating alternative ways of interacting with foreign partners.
