Israeli Foreign Minister denies plan to strike Iran's nuclear facilities

Israel has never planned attacks on Iran's nuclear facilities. This was stated on April 20 by Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Saar in an interview with The Telegraph newspaper.
"I am a member of the security cabinet and all closed forums, and I do not remember such a decision," Saar told the publication.
In addition, he explained that Israel does not want Iran to acquire nuclear weapons. According to Saar, the diplomatic way to achieve this goal is quite acceptable for Israel.
Earlier, on April 16, The New York Times newspaper, citing sources in the White House, reported that Israel had planned an attack on Iran's nuclear infrastructure for May of this year. However, US President Donald Trump rejected this initiative in favor of negotiations with Tehran. If the initiative is implemented, Tel Aviv will need Washington's help to protect itself from retaliatory attacks by Tehran.
On April 19, the second stage of negotiations between Iran and the United States on the nuclear program took place. The Iranian delegation was headed by Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi. Washington was represented by Witkoff. Later, the US administration suggested that some progress had been made at the meeting in Rome.
