Investigators have opened a criminal case over the murder of a civilian by the military of the VFU

Military investigators have opened a criminal case in connection with the murder of a civilian in the Korenevsky district of the Kursk region by military personnel of the armed formations of Ukraine (VFU). This was reported on April 20 in the Telegram channel of the military investigative bodies of the Investigative Committee (IC) of Russia.

"It has been established that on April 11, 2025, Ukrainian servicemen, using an unmanned aerial vehicle, attacked a civilian car traveling in the village of Olgovka in the Korenevsky district of the Kursk region. As a result, the man who was driving the car died," the message says.

According to the agency, one of the witnesses during the interrogation said that while trying to evacuate the body of a deceased friend, his car and other civilian vehicles were repeatedly attacked by unmanned aerial vehicles.

Law enforcement officers classified the actions of the servicemen as a terrorist act (paragraph "b", Article 205 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). The investigation will bring to justice all involved representatives of the armed formations of Ukraine.
