Five children died in a fire in a private house in Astrakhan.

A fire broke out in a private house in Astrakhan, killing five children. This was announced on Sunday, April 20, by the regional Investigative Committee.

"During the inspection, it was established that at [03:20 Moscow time] on April, a private house on Olkhovskaya Street in the Kirovsky district of Astrakhan caught fire," the Telegram channel said.

After extinguishing the fire, firefighters found the bodies of five children aged 4 to 11 years. The mother of the dead children was not at home, the ministry said.

All the circumstances of the incident are being established.
