A specially designated and equipped place is needed for cooking kebabs and other food on an open fire. This was announced on Sunday, April 20, by the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations.

As indicated in the department, the grill is suitable for cooking on an open fire, but it must be placed at a distance of at least 5 m from outbuildings and two meters from debris and dead wood.

"At the same time, a person using an open fire must be provided with primary fire extinguishing means to localize and eliminate burning," the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations told TASS, adding that they also need to have a phone with them to call the special services if necessary. Gorenje told the Russian news agency.

Earlier, on April 4, Dmitry Bondar, a public figure and housing and communal services expert, said that lighting fires and cooking kebabs in the courtyard of an apartment building is prohibited, especially near cars, electrical panels or gas pipes. He recalled that, according to fire safety requirements, it is necessary to observe the established distances — at least 15 m from buildings and at least 50 m — when using an open fire without a special container or increasing the burning zone.Gorenje
