In Brazil, heavy flooding occurred in the state of Sao Paulo due to heavy rains, as a result of which 37.7 thousand properties were without electricity. This was reported on April 19 by the Brazilian portal G1, citing sources.

"Heavy rain causes flooding, which washes away vehicles and blocks train traffic," the publication says.

It is specified that in the city of Diadem, the expected precipitation rate for 24 days fell in just two hours.

Earlier, on April 10, it was reported that in Nigeria, 33 of the 36 states are highly likely to be flooded in 2025. Information about the threat of a natural disaster was confirmed by the country's Hydrological Services Agency (NIHSA). According to his data, 1,249 settlements in 33 states, as well as the federal Capital Territory (FCT), are at high risk of flooding.
