Soldiers of the Vostok group of forces celebrated Easter in their military area.

Russian servicemen of the Vostok group of forces celebrated Easter in the special military operation zone. This was announced on April 20 by the press service of the Russian Ministry of Defense.
"Orthodox servicemen of the 36th Separate Guards Motorized Rifle Brigade of the Vostok group of forces celebrated the Easter holiday in the rear area, as well as on the line of contact of the special military operation. Despite the combat missions, the servicemen remained faithful to their traditions, emphasizing the unity of spiritual values and military duty," the ministry said.
It is specified that on the eve of the holiday, military bakers and cooks baked Easter cakes for the personnel of their unit. The pastries were also made according to the family recipes of the fighters, passed down from generation to generation.
"The guys always greet us with a smile, we are always welcome. No matter how hard it is to deliver all this to the line of combat contact, we are doing this, thereby taking care of the personnel who perform tasks on the front line," said the head of the food service with the call sign Ration.
A day earlier, employees of the military commandant's office of the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) and representatives of the Narodnaya Druzhina organization brought festive cakes to Avdiivka. They were consecrated in the city and presented to the residents on the eve of Easter.
Izvestia correspondent Evgeny Bykovsky noted that residential buildings and infrastructure are being restored in the city, including the Church of Mary Magdalene, where the consecration of festive food took place.
