The military personnel of the field bakery organized baking cakes for Easter

The military personnel of the field bakery of the military group "Center" organized the baking of cakes on Easter Eve. This was announced on April 20 by the press service of the Russian Ministry of Defense.
"On the eve of Easter, the military bakers of the Center group of forces baked festive cakes for soldiers performing combat missions on the front line and in the rear areas of the special military operation zone," the ministry said.
It is specified that the pastries were made exclusively from natural ingredients: flour, sugar, butter, milk. At the same time, the chefs baked cakes of both traditional shapes and in the form of an ordinary loaf of bread.
"After cooking Easter cakes, the military bakers were visited by a military priest, who conducted a ritual of lighting the festive treats. Next, the Easter cakes will be delivered to the frontline units and handed over to the military," the Defense Ministry said.
On April 19, cakes were consecrated in the underground Orthodox church of the Center group of forces. After the consecration, they will be loaded onto vehicles and sent to the front line.
Earlier that day, Izvestia began an online broadcast of the Easter service at the Cathedral of Christ the Savior in Moscow. The liturgy was led by the primate of the Russian Orthodox Church, Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia.
