Easter was celebrated in the Cathedral of Christ the Savior

The solemn service, conducted by Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia, ended at the Cathedral of Christ the Savior. The video is published by Izvestia on Sunday, April 20.

The festive service began with a religious procession, paying tribute to the procession of myrrh-bearing women who marched on the eve of dawn to the tomb of Jesus Christ.

After that, Easter Matins and Divine Liturgy were held in the cathedral.

Now the communion of believers continues in the Cathedral of Christ the Savior.

On Sunday, the church will celebrate the miraculous Resurrection of Jesus Christ.

On April 19, Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia held Vespers with the reading of 15 paremias and the Divine Liturgy of St. Basil the Great at the Cathedral of Christ the Savior in Moscow. The patriarch also consecrated Easter cakes and eggs.

The Holy Fire descended in the temple earlier that day. The delegation of the St. Andrew the First-Called Foundation (FAP) received the Holy Fire in the Jerusalem Church of the Holy Sepulchre and delivered it to Russia.
