In Dagestan, emergency mode was introduced in five districts due to heavy rains

In Dagestan, a state of emergency was introduced in five districts due to weather conditions. This was announced on Saturday, April 19, by the press service of the Main Directorate (GU) of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations in the republic.
The consequences of heavy rains and snowfalls are now being eliminated in Dagestan. Over 2,000 specialists and 566 pieces of equipment are involved in the work.
"Agulsky, Akhtyn, Dokuzparinsky, Rutulsky and Kurakhsky districts are in the emergency zone," the agency's Telegram post says.
At the same time, it is specified that a high-alert regime is in effect in several municipalities of the Tsuntinsky, Sergokalinsky, Gunibsky and Lak districts.
Earlier, on April 15, Izvestia published footage of heavy rains in Makhachkala, flooding roads. Due to the high water level, drivers move slowly. Locals can't get through because even the sidewalks are flooded.
