Rosgvardiya ensured the safety of the arrival of the Holy Fire in Moscow

Rosgvardiya specialists ensured the safety of the Holy Fire meeting in Moscow at Vnukovo Airport from Jerusalem. This was announced on Sunday, March 20, by the press service of the department.

"OMON Sword officers on the transport of the Rosgvardiya Main Directorate for the city of Moscow, together with colleagues from the Russian Interior Ministry, ensured the protection of public safety and law and order during the arrival of the Holy Fire in the capital on the eve of the Orthodox Easter holiday," the Rosgvardiya said in a Telegram post.

It is specified that a "security corridor" was organized to transfer the Holy Fire from the aircraft to the motorcade.

After that, the Holy Fire was delivered to the Easter service in the Cathedral of Christ the Savior and in 15 other cathedrals.

On Sunday, the church will celebrate the miraculous Resurrection of Jesus Christ.

The Holy Fire from Jerusalem was delivered to the Moscow Cathedral of Christ the Savior for the Easter service on April 19. The solemn Easter service is conducted by Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia. Russian President Vladimir Putin and Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin attended the solemn service.
