Former Moldovan President Dodon met the Holy Fire from Jerusalem

Former Moldovan President Igor Dodon welcomed the Holy Fire brought to the country from Jerusalem. He announced this on April 19 in the Telegram channel.
"Together with my wife, my youngest son, Nicholas, and hundreds of believers, we met the Holy Fire in the square of the Cathedral of the Nativity of Christ, which was brought from Jerusalem this evening by the delegation of the Archdiocese of Moldova," he said.
According to Dodon, he was glad to see representatives of several opposition parties at the ceremony. At the same time, he stressed that "representatives of the current government, the presidency, the parliament and the government" decided to ignore the solemn event for the fourth year in a row.
"The Holy Fire is the main symbol of Easter, a living testimony to the Resurrection of the Lord and the hope that is being revived in our souls. May this bright holiday strengthen our faith, bring peace and grace to all of us!" the politician concluded.
On April 19, the Holy Fire descended in the Church of the Holy Sepulchre in Jerusalem. The delegation of the St. Andrew the First-Called Foundation (FAP) received the Holy Fire in the Jerusalem temple and headed to Ben Gurion Airport to deliver the flame to Russia.
On the same day, Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia conducted Vespers with the reading of 15 verses and the Divine Liturgy of St. Basil the Great at the Cathedral of Christ the Savior in Moscow. The patriarch also consecrated Easter cakes and eggs.
