Netanyahu says the conflict in Gaza will continue until the destruction of Hamas

Israel will not end the war in the Gaza Strip until it returns the hostages and destroys the Palestinian radical movement Hamas. This was announced on Saturday, April 19, by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in an address to the nation.
"We will not stop the war of rebirth until we destroy Hamas in Gaza, until we return all our hostages, and until we ensure that the Gaza Strip no longer poses a threat to Israel," Netanyahu said. The appeal was broadcast on the official YouTube channel of the Prime Minister.
Netanyahu added that Hamas had again rejected an offer that could have led to the release of half of the living hostages still in Gaza and the return of the bodies of a number of dead hostages.
According to him, the radical movement demands an end to the war, the preservation of its power and the restoration of Gaza with the attraction of capital, which will allow Hamas to rearm and prepare new attacks on Israelis.
On April 15, the Turkish newspaper Daily Sabah reported, citing the Gaza Ministry of Health, that more than 51,000 people had been killed in the enclave since the escalation of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict began. In addition, over 116,000 residents of the Gaza Strip were injured.
The IDF resumed military operations against Hamas in Gaza on March 18. The press service of the Gaza Ministry of Health reported on March 28 that more than 890 people have been killed and over 1,980 injured in Israeli attacks since then.
