Eight people were killed and 25 injured in an accident in Egypt.

In Egypt, eight people were killed and 25 others were injured in a car accident near the town of Mallawi involving two pickups and a semi-trailer. This was announced on April 19 by the Masrawy portal.

"The Governor of El Minya, Emad Kedwani, expressed his sincere condolences to the families of those killed and injured in the collision of two pickups and a semi-trailer carrying workers and children, which killed eight people and injured 25 others on a western desert road near the village of Tuna al-Jabal in Mallawi," the material says.

The official also ordered the provision of all necessary assistance to the victims of the incident. He stressed that in August 2024, the Al-Minya governorate began implementing a ban on passenger transportation in pickups on highways, as well as urban and desert roads.

On April 17, a school bus overturned in the U.S. state of South Carolina, killing one person and injuring 21. There were 38 people on the bus, 35 of whom were minors. An investigation is currently underway into the incident.
