Easter services were held at the Transfiguration Cathedral in Vladivostok. This was reported on April 19 by a correspondent of Izvestia.

"I congratulate all the families of our big country, our Russia, on this approaching bright day, and I urge everyone to celebrate, love each other, forgive and be joyful on this wonderful day," Yulia Makhotkina, a parishioner of the church, told the correspondent.

There will also be a Religious procession, Easter Matins and the Divine Liturgy on the festive night.

"The forty-day fast is behind us, the Bright Week is ahead, this is a special time. It's not to have a good conversation, but to do good deeds and help others.",— marks correspondent Evgeny Podtergera.

Earlier that day, Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia held Vespers with the reading of 15 paremias and the Divine Liturgy of St. Basil the Great at the Cathedral of Christ the Savior in Moscow. The patriarch also consecrated Easter cakes and eggs.

On this day, Patriarch Kirill addressed the faithful with an Easter message. In his address, the Patriarch emphasized that the Resurrection of Christ is a solid foundation for faith and hope.
