Patriarch Kirill celebrated Vespers with the reading of 15 verses in the Cathedral of Christ the Savior

Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia held Vespers with the reading of 15 verses and the Divine Liturgy of St. Basil the Great at the Cathedral of Christ the Savior in Moscow. It happened on Saturday, April 19th.

"I cordially congratulate all of you on this great holiday, Great Saturday," he stressed.

The patriarch also consecrated Easter cakes and eggs.

On Sunday, the church will celebrate the miraculous Resurrection of Jesus Christ.

On this day, Patriarch Kirill addressed the faithful with an Easter message. In his address, the Patriarch emphasized that the Resurrection of Christ is a solid foundation for faith and hope.

At the same time, the head of the Department of National Policy and Interregional Relations of the capital, Vitaly Suchkov, said that at least 1.5 million believers were expected to attend services in Moscow on the night of April 19-20.
