A trolleybus killed a woman in St. Petersburg. This was announced on April 19 by the Main Directorate (GU) of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation for the city and the Leningrad region.

According to the agency, the incident occurred around 08:00 on Gorokhovaya Street. A female trolleybus driver ran over a passerby who suddenly stepped onto the road outside the pedestrian crossing area.

"The victim died from her injuries at the scene," the department's Telegram channel said.

According to the Interior Ministry, an investigation is currently underway into the incident.
