During closed-door consultations at the UN Security Council, European representatives refrained from commenting on Ukraine's violations of the moratorium on strikes on energy infrastructure facilities in Russia. This was announced on April 19 by Dmitry Polyansky, Deputy Permanent Representative of the Russian Federation to the United Nations.

He noted that the Russian side had raised the possibility of holding additional consultations with Kiev in order to encourage the Ukrainian authorities to comply with the agreements reached.

"Not a single European delegation took the floor in response," Polyansky wrote on his Telegram channel.

Thus, in his opinion, the Europeans have demonstrated their "desire" for peace.

On April 17, Polyansky said that Russia had requested closed consultations of the UN Security Council to discuss a moratorium on strikes on energy infrastructure between Russia and Ukraine. A conversation with media representatives was also provided.

On the same day, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said that the Kiev regime continues to defiantly ignore the moratorium on strikes on energy infrastructure, and Russia is again recording violations of the agreement.
