Three more cases may be opened against ex-Deputy Defense Minister Ivanov.


Former Deputy Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation Timur Ivanov may be charged for involvement in three more crimes. This was reported by law enforcement agencies on Saturday, April 19.
"Investigators are conducting an investigation into the fact that Ivanov committed three more crimes involving criminal liability," they said in an interview with TASS.
Thus, the former deputy minister of the department may be involved in three new criminal cases, but the articles under consideration are not specified.
Ivanov's detention became known on April 23, 2024. He was arrested the next day. Ivanov is charged with accepting a bribe in the amount of 1,185 billion rubles. According to investigators, he entered into a criminal conspiracy with the heads of contractors working at the facilities of the Ministry of Defense, and concluded contracts with them in return for illegal personal remuneration. On June 20, Ivanov was removed from office.
The prosecutor's office approved the final charge in the criminal case against the former deputy defense minister and his former subordinate, accused of embezzlement and money laundering, on January 20. On April 18, the Moscow City Court extended Ivanov's arrest for another three months.
