A unified lesson schedule for all schools in Russia will be introduced on September 1. This was announced by the head of the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation Sergey Kravtsov on Saturday, April 19.
"Work is being completed on a unified lesson schedule for schools," he said in an interview with RIA Novosti.
According to the minister, the unified timetable will allow to control the degree of workload for both teachers and students. The number of classes per day, tests and independent work will be regulated. In addition, Kravtsov clarified, a restriction is being introduced on All-Russian test papers: from now on they should not amount to more than 10% of the total number of classes.
Earlier, on April 15, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin congratulated the students who won the All-Russian Olympiad. The participants of the Moscow national team received more than 800 diplomas in 12 subjects.
