- During the day, at least 64 people were killed as a result of Israeli strikes in the Gaza Strip.

At least 64 people died during the day as a result of Israeli rocket attacks on the Gaza Strip. This was reported on Friday, April 18, by the Qatari TV channel Al Jazeera.
"Medical sources told the TV channel that 64 Palestinians have been killed since dawn as a result of Israeli airstrikes on areas in the north and south of the [Gaza] Strip, while the ban on humanitarian aid has been in place for 46 days," the TV channel said.
More than half of this number of victims is in Gaza City and the northern areas of the Palestinian enclave, the newspaper said. There are dead and wounded in Khan Yunis and Rafah.
On April 15, the Turkish newspaper Daily Sabah reported, citing the Gaza Ministry of Health, that more than 51,000 people had been killed in the enclave since the escalation of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict began. In addition, over 116,000 residents of the Gaza Strip were injured.
The IDF resumed military operations against Hamas in Gaza on March 18. The press service of the Gaza Ministry of Health reported on March 28 that more than 890 people have been killed and over 1,980 injured in Israeli attacks since then.
