A man was killed in an accident in the Irkutsk region caused by driving into the oncoming lane. This was announced on April 19 by the State Traffic Inspectorate for the region in the Telegram channel.
"According to preliminary information, the 27-year-old driver of a Nissan Sunny car, moving from the city of Bratsk towards Tulun, lost control of the vehicle, drove into oncoming traffic and collided with a Lexus—RH450H car," the department said.
Due to the collision, the 32-year-old passenger of the sedan died on the spot. The driver of the other car also needed medical attention, and he will continue his treatment on an outpatient basis.
At the moment, all the causes and conditions of the incident are being established by police officers.
On April 18, a teenager was killed and six other people were injured in an accident involving two passenger cars in Bashkiria. It is specified that as a result of the accident, a 13-year-old teenager died on the spot, four adults and two children aged one and six were taken to the hospital.
