Iranian Foreign Minister Araqchi praised the country's relations with Russia

Currently, Iran is at the peak of cooperation with Russia in the entire history of bilateral relations. This was announced on Friday, April 18, by the head of the Iranian Foreign Ministry, Abbas Araqchi.

"We are at the peak of cooperation with Russia in the entire history of our 500-year relationship," he wrote on the social network X (ex. Twitter).

As the diplomat pointed out, the countries are strategic partners and will continue to defend common interests in the international arena.

The Iranian Foreign Minister also called the discussions that took place during the meeting with his Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov fruitful.

Araqchi arrived in Moscow on April 17. On the same day, Russian President Vladimir Putin received him at the Kremlin. During the meeting with the head of Arakchi, Lavrov discussed issues on the international agenda, as well as trade and economic ties.
