Units of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) The Tula Airborne forces continue to strike at fortifications, military equipment and personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the Kursk region. This was announced on April 19 by the press service of the Russian Ministry of Defense.
"UAV units of the Tula Airborne Forces unit destroy fortifications, weapons, military equipment, communications equipment and personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine with fiber-optic kamikaze drones in the Kursk border region on a daily basis," the department said.
It is specified that the fighters work in pairs. First, the first number prepares the fiber-optic drone for launch into the air, while the second one conducts reconnaissance of the area, confirming and correcting the coordinates of targets for impact.
"Over the past few days, paratroopers operating UAVs of the Tula Airborne Forces have uncovered and destroyed camouflaged UAV control repeaters, a Baba Yaga hexacopter hidden in a forest plantation, as well as several pieces of equipment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine," the Defense Ministry said.
On April 18, the crew of the Ka-52M helicopter attacked the Ukrainian Armed Forces stronghold in the Kursk border region. After using aviation weapons, the crew performed an anti-missile maneuver, released heat traps and returned to the departure area.
