The White House has released information about the "true origin" of COVID-19.
The COVID-19 pandemic occurred as a result of a virus leak from a laboratory in Wuhan, China. This was stated on the White House website.
They named five arguments as confirmation of the unnatural origin of the virus.
Firstly, the virus has biological properties that are not found in nature, the publication says. In addition, they noted that other similar diseases needed to enter the body several times to infect it.
They also argued that researchers at the Wuhan Institute allegedly fell ill with similar symptoms several months before the pandemic.
"By almost all scientific standards, if there were evidence of natural origin, it would have already appeared. But this did not happen," the White House concluded.
Earlier, on April 7, Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, head of the World Health Organization (WHO), said that a new pandemic would inevitably happen sooner or later. He recalled the severe consequences of the COVID-19 outbreak in the world, stressing that "the next pandemic will not wait."
