Kolomna's Russian players Nikita Merzlyak and Kadyrgali Simbaev received a lifetime ban from any football-related activities for organizing a match-fixing with the Amkal club on August 1, 2024. The corresponding decision was made on April 18 by the Russian Football Union (RFU).

"In accordance with part 2 of Article 124.2 of the RFU disciplinary regulations for organizing match-fixing in football competitions (match 1/256 of the Russian Football Cup of the 2024/25 season between FC Amkal (Moscow) and FC Kolomna (Kolomna), which took place on August 01, 2024), ban Nikita Merzlyuk and Kadyrgali Simbaev should carry out any football—related activity for life," the sports organization said.

The RFU also decided to calculate the actual score of the match.

On April 2, Ukrainian referee Yuriy Balkov was suspended for life from any activity related to competitions under the auspices of the International Skating Union (ISU) due to manipulation of the results. In October 2024, Balkov sent a text message to the judge who worked on the stage of the junior Grand Prix in Ljubljana, asking him to overestimate the scores of the Ukrainian dance pair Irina Pidgainaya - Artem Koval so that they would take first place. The judges did not respond to the request, but the duo from Ukraine still won the competition.
