Senior Sergeant Sergey Kuftyrev led the assault on the Ukrainian Armed Forces base

Senior Sergeant Serhiy Kuftyrev commanded the squad during the assault on the fortified stronghold of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation on Saturday, April 19, reported on the exploits of Russian servicemen committed in the area of a special military operation (SVO).

The enemy fired at the Russian assault groups, and Kuftyrev decided to bypass the height at which the support was located in order to suddenly launch an attack from the rear. A reconnaissance of the area was carried out promptly and a plan was developed. Having successfully bypassed the height, Kuftyrev's squad opened fire on the Ukrainian Armed Forces from the rear, disorganizing the enemy's ranks. During the battle, the stronghold came under the control of the Russian Armed Forces (RF Armed Forces).

The Russian Defense Ministry also noted the professionalism of Captain Vitaly Shevchenko, who commanded a unit of the Russian Armed Forces and ensured uninterrupted, stable communication and information exchange between command posts, military units and units of the Russian troops.

During the artillery shelling from the Ukrainian Armed Forces, the antenna feeder device and the antenna of one of the support repeaters were damaged, which led to a communication disruption. Realizing the need to quickly restore communication between the units, Shevchenko, along with his subordinates, moved to the damage area, despite the danger of coming under fire from the enemy.

Shevchenko and several servicemen who went with him not only promptly repaired the equipment and restored communication, but also set up the connection so that the connection was not disrupted by the electronic warfare (EW) of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
