Bishop Markel, who was on his way to Israel for the Holy Fire, was once again prevented from leaving the country on April 18. This was reported in the Telegram channel Sputnik Moldova.

The day before, the bishop was detained at passport control at the Chisinau airport and his documents were seized without explanation.
