In South Korea, airlines are ready to resume direct flights to Russia in the event of a settlement of the Ukrainian conflict. This was announced on April 18 by the deputy of the National Assembly of the Republic of Korea from the opposition United Democratic Party, Chong Yong-gi.

"I asked the representatives of Korean Air how they see the fact that there is such a desire (to restore direct flights with the Russian Federation. — Ed.), and from their side I heard the answer that if it is possible and the current issues are resolved, then they are also ready for this," he told RIA Novosti.

The MP believes that the conflict in Ukraine should end soon. In addition, US relations with Russia may finally improve soon. According to him, the South Korean authorities need to restore normal diplomatic relations with the Russian Federation for further economic cooperation between the two countries.

The Association of Tour Operators (ATOR) announced on April 2 that El Al Airline will resume regular flights from Tel Aviv to Moscow on May 1. It was noted that one flight will be operated from Monday to Wednesday, and on Sundays and Thursdays — two flights per day. Boeing 737-900 aircraft will be provided for flights.
