Naryshkin condemned attempts by Britain and France to weaken friendship in the CIS
Sergei Naryshkin, Director of the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR), noted that attempts by Britain and France to weaken the bonds of friendship between the countries of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) are unacceptable. This was announced on April 18 by the press bureau of the SVR of Russia.
"Naryshkin expressed special gratitude to the partners from Kazakhstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan for their joint work to identify and neutralize threats from both terrorist groups and some foreign intelligence agencies. He outlined the inadmissibility of attempts by London, Paris and other "nests of globalism" to weaken the bonds of friendship and strategic cooperation between our countries," the message said following the participation of the head of the SVR in the conference in Baku "Afghanistan: regional interconnectedness, security and development."
In addition, the SVR press office noted that cooperation between Russia and Azerbaijan through the special services is developing dynamically. In addition, it is mutually beneficial and trust-based, which is aimed at protecting the interests of both countries.
Earlier, on February 1, the FSB of the Russian Federation reported on attempts by the Ukrainian and Lithuanian special services with their foreign curators to undermine Russia's partnership with the CIS countries. The agency stated that it had identified the person who insults representatives of the Uzbek nation in a video on social networks. It turned out to be a citizen of Ukraine, Nikolai Kochmarik, and the YouTube channel where the video was posted belongs to the Lithuanian special services.
The official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, commenting on the FSB report, stressed that Ukraine would not be able to quarrel Russia with the CIS countries.
