The yacht trip "Russia in the Baltic" will be held in the summer of 2025

The third yacht trip "Russia in the Baltic" will take place in the summer of 2025. The event will be held as part of a joint project of the Peterhof Museum-reserves and the Museum of the World Ocean, dedicated to the creation of residences in the Baltic Sea. This was announced on April 18 on the official website of the Peterhof Museum-Reserve.
"This year, the project is expanding and will consist of several stages. In addition to the marine part, which will be attended by sailing yachts from St. Petersburg, Kaliningrad, Vyborg and yacht clubs of the Leningrad region, a whole range of cultural and educational mass events will be organized on the shore," the publication says.
The event will start at the end of June. Then visitors will be presented with a cultural program on the embankment of Lieutenant Schmidt in St. Petersburg. The vessels that will take part in the cruise will sail about a thousand kilometers across the Baltic Sea from St. Petersburg to Kaliningrad, after which the yachts will return back.
There will also be a "Nautical Assembly" regatta, which will include a parade of sails and a festival program in the Lower Park of the Peterhof Museum-Reserve.
"The Baltic Sea connects two museums, two cities, and two regions. When we sent the yachts on the first museum trip, we wanted it to become a full—fledged regatta in the future, capable of uniting two regions, sports, culture, adults and children," said Roman Kovrikov, General Director of the Peterhof Museum Reserve.
The program of the yacht cruise will end at the end of July with festive events in honor of the Navy Day at the site of the Museum of the World Ocean.
On March 20, the Governor of St. Petersburg, Alexander Beglov, announced that the date of the annual Scarlet Sails Alumni festival was set for June 28. It is specified that preparations for the event have already begun.
